About UAS Triple Challenge

UAS news and explainers for operators, integrators and public-sector program leads.

UAS Triple Challenge is an independently operated information site about unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). It explains the news, and covers autonomous flight, data links, navigation security, drone delivery and inspection for operators, systems integrators and public-sector program leads.

The site is named after its domain. That domain was used in 2021 and 2022 by the website of the First Responder UAS Triple Challenge prize competition. This site is not that competition's organiser and is not affiliated with Kansas State University, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), any sponsor of the competition, or any of its contestants. The Archive section keeps a short factual record of the competition, compiled from public archived copies of the original website.

Regulatory information is cited from the FAA and other official sources, with the date it was checked. Nothing here is legal, safety or compliance advice; always check the current rules and your own operating approvals. If you spot a mistake, please tell us through the Contact page and we will correct it.
